Businesses Focus on Giving Back – Cheltenham June Meetup

This month we’ll be exploring the theme of Giving and Corporate Social Responsibility. We will hear from Slave Free Alliance (SFA) who work with businesses looking at modern slavery in their own organisations and their supply chains. Some of the key clients they work with include Morrisons, AstraZeneca, Aviva Group, Experian, and Dixons Carphone to name but a few.
Susan Banister, Head of Business Development will share with us how this work has enabled them to raise awareness of CSR and as a business to get behind the work of Hope for Justice and donate profits to them.
Isabelle Bryan, CSR and International Development specialist (Modern Slavery) from Hope for Justice(HFJ) will share how donations are used across the organisation to support their projects.
During this meeting we will discuss how businesses can gain from demonstrating a caring attitude towards local or national causes that benefit society – whether that be donations of finances, time or business consultancy, advocacy.
– Why giving back matters and how it boosts business
-Identifying synergies between business and charities
-Improve your brand value and reputation
– Gain publicity for your business
